what are some of the benifits of buying an afc controller...i can buy one from my friend for around 100 bucks he said and i wanna no if it is worth it

 

AFC controller?? Not exactly sure what that is? Maybe Im just having a brain fart??

 

YOu got a turbo? If not you dont need it. Thats what a dyno tune is for. plus once you install it you cannot start your car untill all fuel maps are programmed or your engine could seriously damage itself. plus you have no way of really tuning it accurately w/o a dyno. you could use a seat of the pants dyno but its up to you. Personally i would stick to a dyno tune. WHich i need to get. Is it the S-afc I or the S-afc II. if its the first one i seriously would not bother as these offer very crude adjustments

 

Can't you use somthing like that just to see if your a/f ratio is a consistent 12.0 or whatever and adjust accordingly (without a dyno)?

 

ok i didnt thanxs i didnt no that no i dont have a turbo, i wasnt sure about the afc controller either...but i put in a new head unit and took out my cd player at the bottom and needed something to fill in that space so my friend said afc and i thought that would look cool to put there...but ya i guess i will go with dyno tune
