dart heads ford aluminum block vs. MMR long block
anyone know which one i should go for? the MMR 5.4 4v long block is around 8k but the dart heads ford aluminum block which i heard is said to be as strong as the cast iron block but its only like 5k. any opinions on which one i should go with???
im going to be building a 5.4 4v which i will eventually twin turbo and im lookin to be up in the 1000+ hp/trq range. (def. not my daily driver once this is done)

So one is just the block and the other is the longblock? I would much rather go with the longblock, but why are you wanting to do the Modular big-block?
The ceiling on a 4.6 is 2000+ hp and considering the availability of parts for a 4.6 there are ton of ways you can build big power without breaking the bank. If you stay 5.4 and need a GOOD set of heads, you're looking at spending another 3 grand for PI ported heads or finding a set of 5.4 DOHC navigator heads. Then you have to worry about the intake. The sullivan and cobra r intake are insanely expensive and the stock truck intake looks like shiet and has no top-end.
Not trying to change your mind, but you can build 1000+ horse EASY with a 4.6 turbo setup and the right pieces.
