yea my uncle is a mechanic so im sure he has the tools and he would help me anyway. Plus he has a lift at his house so i'm sure we could get it done. Thanks for all the info guys these forums help so much.

No problem. Also, make sure you give yourself two days to do it, as you are likely going to run into some issues. I could have had mine done in a day, taking my time, but I had to make a run to a machine shop to have them pull off the old bearings and press on the new ones. Needed to get the bearing off the stock pinion as well so I could measure the shim thickness.

beware, even if u do do it, make sure you get everything right before putting it all back together and calling it good. ive seen to many people, chevy and ford guys, do their first gears, get a mile down the road and have the rear end grenade on em. but as long as you get a good pattern you should be pretty much set, also get the preload right, and buy some extra crush sleeves.
