what would u guys say is the safest kit? i was looking at zex and venom(both have a module to monitor the fuel being given) i am curious as to which one is better. NX as popular as it is doesnt seem to have this feature.

in a techincal sense gas is gas, but distrobution, mixing and shot amount all factor into making wet better, but more dangerous

NX wet plate - zex and venom are not safer imo, bc that stupid unit makes it more difficult to tune properly ( at least still work consistantly) - imo a good tune from a pro is a much better way to go - but safety extras dont hurt for some added insurance

You have to upgrade the fuel pump even when running a 100 wetshot? :\

I keep hearing that on a car without forged internals dont run a a shot at all no maytter how small it is. Is this true or BS? I have a 96 Cobra with a fair amount of mods such as cams and throttle body and custom tune. I was wanting like maybe a 50-75hp shot just for an extra kick. Would a wet or dry be better on a stock internal engine and would nitrous be safe at all for me?

i am going to answer two questions in one post...

Hoss, when i was researching nitrous i talked alot with 01gt4.6, and this is basically what he told me... zex is a very goor "beginners" type nitrous system... it is the easiest to setup and easy to use... however, he believes and now i do also that a NX plate kit is the best kit on the market, they have consistantly the highest numbers.. the biggest thing about the fuel monitering system is to make sure your fuel pressure levels do not drop, you can simply get a fuel pressure safety switch so that if it happens, it will stop spraying..

and second...

the camo snake, basically a blanket statement that you can't use nitrous on a stock car is bullsh!t a 50 shot or 75 shot is nothing for an 8 cylinder, as long as you use proper precaution, it is fine

Wet kits run more consistant times than dry kits do. Its what im running, and i didnt even tune it. Now i changed the degrees and it runs better.

I also run a wet nitrous system with a 100 shot. And works great. Second best thing that i ever did for the car.

one more thing to watch out for is puddling. i didnt hear anyone mention it, but you should make sure you get a WOT switch that way you can help prevent puddling. this is when you get excess nitrous left in the maifold which can combust. a dry kit is more susceptible to this.
