Default Need help, something ticking

While i was driving today, i hammered it in 2nd gear, and right after i let off, something started ticking real bad. You cant really hear it at idle, but when it hits about 2k rpm it ticks get loud. You can hear it inside the car more than you can outside. The higher the rpms the louder and faster the ticks are, kinda sounds like a fast knocking. It sounds like its coming from under the intake manifold or maybe on the side. Any ideas on what this is? Any help would be great, thank you.

Anyone? I also noticed there is no ticking at idle, but when it hits about 2400 rpms it starts ticking. I also tried uploading a video but i took it with my phone and you cant hear anything with it.

Thats a rod. I had to replace my engine because of that. I am guessing its a fairly loud ticking.

What weight oil do you normally run?

sorry for your loss, not exactly sure what the problem is but im 98% sure its not gonna be a cheap fix, any kind of knocking/ticking is ALWAYS bad news.

If you can, get a video of it. Noises from an engine are generally difficult to diagnose over the internet.

Well heres the deal, my dads been a mechanic for over 22 years, he took it to his shop today and he is almost positive i spun a rod bearing. He said it would be cheaper and more time efficient to just replace the motor with a used one (since he will do it for me, i dont have to pay for labor ect.)
