Default bogging sputtering.....

ok i have a 2001 gt stock as far as i know besides exhaust. anyhow when i hold the pedal down between 30-45 and keep throttle steady it'll bog like it isnt getting oxygen or gas. and it occasionally will die when i roll up to a stop light. Any ideas or for sure answers to what this could be from?? fuel filter going bad? o2? please let me know

check your air filter, then look at the coil packs and spark plugs. You wash the engine bay recently? Bc then that could be a major culprit. Also changing out the fuel filter and air filter and putting in some fuel injector cleaner will help too. Mine was doin the same exact thing, so i dried out my coil packs, changed my plugs (MOTORCRAFT only!!) and it drives lke a dream now.. just my .02

kinda sounds like you have a sticking egr valve. you can plug the off the vacuum going to the egr to eliminate it from your diagnosis. And go for a drive and see how it runs.

i was thinking the egr also. my does it at low rpms though. but he also said its at 30 to 45, if it was egr, wouldnt it happen in every gear at that rpm range?

not always. Since the egr is comanded on under cruise conditions. aprox 35 + and light steady throttle. You may not always notice it at the same rpm.

get a new one for like 40 bucks and call it a day. or clean it out using electrical parts cleaner, and some thin pipe-cleaner....
