Default Coolant leakage

Last night I put 2 gallons of straight coolant in and started the car. There was no leaks. Today, I put 1 gallon of distilled water in (now 3 gallons in tank) and started the car. About 1 gallon of water/coolant poured out of the rear of the engine.

Does anybody have any idea of where it could be coming from?
First time putting coolant after rebuild.

pull off the alternator and look into the valley, there is a coolant tube that runs to a heater hose, if thats leaking coolant will fill the valley and run out of the rear.

Maybe an intake gasket that allows fluid to run to the valley and maybe down the bellhousing (mine was doing this). OR either end of the tube that runs through the valley underneath the intake. Or maybe a freeze plug at the back of the engine.
Just throwing some stuff out there to check

I'd check the valley first, I'm betting its full of fluid and running out the back.

Let it sit cold, take off your alt and spin your water pump, it should gush from wherever the problem is.

Ok, havnt really had time to work on it, but I jacked the car up and it is coming from the area not covered by the oil pan (not sure where it leads). But my guess is its between the bellhousing and block.

Ill go check the water pump hose real quick.

Where is the freeze plug located at?

There was coolant on top of the block. The plastic plug in the back of the block is broken, does that lead to the belhousing? I took the intake off and there was brown muck in the water jackets. The engine was sitting for 4 years. Is there a way to flush out the block?

Yea that plastic plug in the back of the valley will drain down around the bell housing. Also, from where you found the coolant, it could either be the connection of the tube at the water pump that runs through the valley, or from the intake seals at the water jackets.
There is a device (pump) that you can pressurize your system without the car running. This is how I found my leak, because you should be able to hear the leak without the motor running.

I really don't know if it is overheating. The fans didnt turn on when it ran for 5 minutes and the temp gage isnt working. But the heads werent too hot when I felt them.

I think it came from the intake gasket. I'm not sure if I torqued them enough because I didnt torque them after the first warm up.
