porting EO plenum

is it worth it to port the stock plenum or not at all?

yes its worth doing, if you do it well you can get 2-3 horses out of it above 4k rpm. pretty good for free don't you think?

the stock tb is not at its absolute limit in terms of flow, it can allow for increased flow. an aftermarket 70mm tb on a ported stock plenum can get you 5 or 6 rwhp peak. not too shabby really. just porting the plenum aids in reducing a restriction, which gives you modest gains.

yea i agree with yall on that you can get more out of the stock plenum but i just dont see why just go with a aftermarket not that much more and you will see better gains

well, its like this. i paid $75 for a used 70mm tb, and ported my stock plenum. i think i got about 5 horsies out of it. an accufab setup costs about $400 for perhaps 2 more oversized mules. $325 just ain't worth it to me for the 2 extra meat bags. for someone looking to get the absolute max, then by all means. i'm looking to be fast on the cheap however, more a sense of pride by doing it that way for me.
