Suspension
I know I know, I already asked about this but here is one more question. I'm wanting to start autocross soon so I'm looking into a Steeda G-trac package 1 and I was wondering with the steeda sport springs(which lowers the car approx 1.25 in), how long could I go with with out buying shocks? I'm not saying I wont buy them, cuz I will, but do you think it have to be relatively quick or a month or so would be alright? I have the money for the package but not the shocks n struts. Or should I just save and buy a bigger package with all of the stuff I need? (springs, shocks, struts, c/c plates, anti sway bars....)
He's right. Save the money, make all your changes in one shot. Then you can spend the rest of the time dialing it in, and honing your skills.
If you change things one at a time, you have to re-learn the new set up every time. It's really a time waster.
Also, pay attention to your classing. If you're a beginner, you're probably better off making no mods and staying in a street/stock class. Look at the rules and your competition.

Maximum Motorsports FTW!
Look into their grip boxes. They have a few different "stages" if you want to call them that. Anywhere from minor upgrades to full out suspension rebuilds. I would trust MM for any suspension part.

Like already stated your better off getting the experience with a stock car. It doesn't take many MODS in AutoX to move you up into a class that you have no chance of being competitive. I'm a good 3 seconds behind the winner of my class (SM) when I AutoX
That is also true.
You are probablly better off learning fundamentals like looking ahead, not clutching through the corners, and learning there needs to be a direct link between your right foot and your steering wheel.
