Default 70mm or 75mm TB?

I used to read that 70mm was best for N/A and that 75mm was best if you were blown. But lately it seems that everybody is going with 75mm.

What would be best for my N/A '04 GT?

If it's a C&L plenum go 75, it dynoed better on a N/A mildly modified GT better than the 70 did. All other plenums like accufab, bbk, and dragon go with a 70.

The world always seems better when you're blown! Hmmm....sounds like one hell of a bumper sticker to me.

You'l be happy. I got the 75 mm TB and plenum combo from acufab and I love it. I'd say is one of the bes mods I've invested on. Good luck. Really easy to install.

All the side X side testing I've seen shows the 75mm will give you a few more HP at the highend but cost you TQ at the low to mid range. If you spend most of your time at max rpm or race and need those extra few ponies at the rev limiter, or plan to go supercharged down the road, then go with the 75mm,. Otherwise the 70mm will give you a nice increase above 3500rpm without costing you the TQ down low, where most of us live on the street.

yeah jakes is dead on. I just put my 70MM FRPP TB on today, and it definitely is wicked responsive now. It pulls the same, and still sucks above 4800, but that is b/c I have the crappy NPI heads that are coming off very soon. But, I think either is acceptable, go with the 75MM just for the heck of it in case you ever go blown.
