Default TKO 600 and Procharger, and how much boost?

Hey guys, been reading these forums for a long time now, finally decided to post haha. What are your guys' thoughts on the TKO 600? I've heard bad and I've heard good, so some factual based opinions would be nice on that one. And about the procharger...p1sc or d1sc? I want to be putting over 500 to the wheels (yes i have forged internals..MMR shortblock) and have read on here that the p1sc has trouble hitting those numbers? And finally, the compression of my engine is 9.0:1...how much boost would I be able to run with meth?

Thanks for your help!

Where are you from because I'm in Lawrence?

I would be using a D1 with what you have done. On the Meth and the Amoco 92 you can buy at the pumps you should have no problem running 500rwhp on the street. What fuel system are you running though? You didn't mention that and that's really the only weak spot left in your car if you're running a single pump returnless setup.

But ya, i was just gonna get the fuel pump that came with the system, 255 lph..think thatd be ok? and i was gonna go with 60# injectors. Lemme know what ya think.

A 255 is really only enough for ~450rwhp safely. I would do a 40amp Kenne Bell boost-a-pump, twin pump tank, or if you want to go all out do a sumped return-style A1000 sytem.

If you come up here next fall give me a shout.

You'll probably not see 500rwhp with that unit without heads/cams and still may not! As for the TKO 500/600 it's a hit or miss deal. I have a 500 that has given me some problems but finally has been resolved. I'd do the 500 personally for the taller 1st gear if you are an occasional strip visitor! the question is not so much how much boost but how much timing can you run. I have the Snow meth kit with my Vortech (13psi) and have two tunes, 16 degrees for the street and 22 for the track. I still put a gallon or so 108 octane in for safety measures at the strip.

What kind of heads/cams would you suggest? Patriot stage 2 for the heads? And how much torque can the 500 withstand?

I'd go with a cam from Modular Powerhouse. Stay away from Patriot heads and the TKO will handle 500+ in tq
