code p0401

shortly after i installed my kenne bell i got this code. it says insuffient flow to the egr. it has never came on till after i put the kb on. i checked and everything is plugged in. any idea what it could be

Pull the DPFE off and bang on it in your hands, check to see if water comes out.. If so replace it...

Its most likely a line not hooked up to the DPFE...

Ok ill check it tomorrow. It looks like everything is hooked up but maybe the sensor is bad. The car drives like crap when the service engine light is on so I hope I can get it fixed

If all your lines are hooked up correctly and the egr selenoid is pluged in. I would bet on the DPFE sensor. I honestly replace about 5 of them a month on customers cars at work. they always go bad.

The code is for an emissions failure, so the reason the car runs like crap is because you probably forgot a vacuum line or one is broken not because the light is on.

well when i delete the code with my friends handheld the car drives great but as soon as the light comes on it starts driving like crap again. so i dont understand what it is

DPFE SENSOR

MY 01 GT RUNS LIKE IT HAS 20 EXTRA HP WHEN I REVERSED THE
HOSES ON THE DPFE SENSOR,BUT THE SES LIGHT COMES ON.
WHEN THE HOSES ARE HOOKED UP RIGHT I CAN TELL THE
POWER LOSS,BIG DIFFERANCE.ANY IDEAS?
