The original 289 wasn't exactly a torque or HP beast in its day but was made to be a very respectable smallblock performer by boring, stroking and squeezing.

The heads on the 4.6 32V flow much, much better than even the old K code heads so I have to believe that a carbed modular setup would be at least as good in terms of performance.

This definitely fills a niche'. No it is not getting the utmost out of the engine but so what? If you have an old classic Mustang, Torino, Falcon, Ranchero etc., and access to a modular motor then why not carb it and get it back on the road? Unless you just want to reinvent the wheel and love chasing automotive electrical bugs (yuck). Me? I'd rather be gut shot.

I see it as a nice blend of old school and new school. Old school induction with new school surgically precise rotating assembly & heads.

1 I was kidding and I see no reason to start saying **** about my screen name. It happens to be the first 3 letters of my kids names. So thank you for insulting my family. I called no one a name or anything and you where out of line.

touchy touchy,

seeing as no one can read your mind or figure out your screen name without you telling them, then it is your opinion that i insulted your family, not my intention.

however i still think the screen name sounds gay, no family insult intended, only maybe a personal one

That's the gayest thing I've ever heard. I'm over 30 and I've never heard it called a dizzy. I can see typing that if you're too dumb to spell it but not for any other reason.
