jrherald420, the tranny was changed on my Cobra, when, I don't know.

StriderTacticaL, I'm like you. I hit fourth gear so quickly, It' s unbeleivable. I used to own a 95 gt and the gear ratio was as any other car I drove. But this one (Cobra), I use fifth gear in city driving or else I'm often in the 3000 rpm range.

I'd say your speedometer or tach are inaccurate (or you don't have strock tires, or do have 3.73s). I know it's not a perfect algorithm, but it can't be that far off.

At 2k rpm in 4th you should be going 45 or so--here's is my "speed in each gear calculator", and since this is not reverse engineering it is accurate.

With stock tires at 40 mph in 4th, with the 3.27s, you should be down around 1750 rpm.

Try using a higher speed (both the speedometer and tach will be more accuarte at higher speeds), and make sure you interpolate the numbers as well as you can.

For the reverse math to work the speed and rpm need to be within 3% to 4% accurate.
