what belt size would i need with u/d pullies?

Default what belt size would i need with u/d pullies?

im getting a set of underdrive pullies but i am not sure what belt size i need can anyone help me out?

arent u/d pulleys designed to free up HP? so wouldnt that mean that the pulley is smaller in turn needing a smaller belt?

No it's actually smaller. Don't UD pullies come in 3 parts? the alternator, water pump and the crank pulley or something? I think the crank pulley is just bigger to compensate for the other 2 which will be smaller.

Anyhow, I know for sure that you can use your stock belt.

use the stock belt. Waterpump pulley takes up the slack

All I know is that when I did a u/d pulley on my 04 v6 stang it required a slightly smaller belt. Used a GATOR Belt.

Holy crap what is going on in here. The crank is smaller, the water pump is larger and the alternator pulley barley exists. Stock belt will work fine.
