Default SLP Loudmouth

Gentlemen,

Have Flowmasters on my 2001 GT. Interested in the SLP Loudmouth system, any advice? I went on SLP's site and found that you can just buy the resonators and have them welded on. $149 per pair. tell me what you think. Thanks.

it sounds ok but the tips that come with that catback are pretty nice it is all in how much you feel like spending.

in all honesty you should just go for the off road h-pipe with your flowmasters and that'll sound nice and cost you about $150-200 bucks and just bolts in and you can do it urslef. they sound nice but i can't tell ya what they sound like with cats. i had my off road x with dynomax mufflers and then just bought the whole SLP Catback and was in for a surprise which i am now use to. maybe they are making me deaf thats why super loud

just buy the catback itself. acer had my old LM1 muffs welded on and it cost him almost $200 to do that. if he would have just bought the mufflers, he would have spent more getting them welded than just buying catback. btw, if you want them to be extremely loud and still deep, get LM1. if you want extremely deep and still really loud, get LM2.

I'd just swap out with the SLP's completely instead of farting around with welding that shat. SLP systems are totaly modular, which makes it nice.....

& no welding to swap out resonators - even better!

...but SLPs are loud as all hell. Seriously, a stang with only the SLP cat-back at 2000 rpms is louder than my stock stang at redline. Hell, probably even at lower than 2k RPMs.. So, make sure that you ask yourself whether you want your car to be that loud. Personally, I'm staying far away from SLP. The only exception may be the Power Flos because they actually have mufflers, but as far as I know there are no sound clips out there yet and I've yet to see one in person.

everyone likes a loud deep exhaust, get the catback not just the resonators.

you could also just get an off-road h pipe and cut-outs, my car is so loud and it always turns heads, and its not that expensive...but in some places you may get pulled over for it. check out jegs cut-outs and a bbj off-road h pipe, its a great deal. and make sure you get mil deleters if you have a newer stang.

i don't like the sound of cutouts. it doesn't have any type of mellow, deep or any tone at all to it. it's just loud. like you're in a tractor.
