can you crack a header?
is it possible to crack a stock header for the 4.6? ive got a real bad exhuast leak under the hood and i was wondering what that was. its on the driver side. it also smells likes its runnin rich as hell. what do you all think it could be? could i have a loose injector and then a loose header maybe?

You won't have a loose injector. You'd know it.
Can you get under your car and see if your mid-pipe is coming loose? Your engine block would crack far before you'd crack a huge and heavy manifold.

midpipe feels tight... i got under there and wiggled it and shook it as hard as i could and it didnt budge. gotta be somethin else? could it be a blown gasket on the header maybe?

Midpipe can feel tight, you should take an extention to it and give it a couple turns and see if you can tighten it.
If you can get the car up in the air, a neat little trick while your car is running, have you and a buddy hold their hands over your exhaust tips, just enough to slow down air flow and give you a good idea of where your exhaust is leaking. I had to do this with my mid-pipe after I had it installed. Have someone hold their hands around any area's that can leak, they will feel the heat.
