Default intercooler

whats up guys and gals ? i have a ????? i had my car dynoed and tuned yesterday and the guy at diablo that did it suggested i get a intercooler ? i have a vortech s/c with 9lbs of boost is this a good idea ? please let me know thannxs

Hell yes its a good idea. For the Vortecs its called an Aftercooler but it does the same thing which is substantially lower intake air temperatures which will prolong the life of the charger and allow full boost at all times. If your charger gets too hot you will loose boost and also increase the chance of detonation. My friend has a Vortec SQ on his built 5.0 and he doesnt have the Aftercooler and sometimes has to pull over and ice the charger down so he can get normal boost pressures again.
