n/a our cars just arent worth a crap. tune, gears, exhaust, and stickies is just about all that is really going to make a difference.

Do yourself a favor, disregard the suggestion for a clutch and flywheel. You DON'T need it.

Drop in K&N, Pulley's, O/R X (or high flows), a GOOD cat back and the BOTTLE!!

Like I already mentioned, I always think a 4v head swap should go first. Then after that, you have a lot more room to build. In other words, the potential of a 4v is much higher and you wouldn't want to buy all kinds of bolt ons and other mods that wouldn't work with a 4v then some time down the road realize you've maxed out the 2v and then start over. Just my opinion though.

yeah if he was going to do that he should just supercharge, thus the list of smaller mods.

You can pick up a 96-98 cobra top end for cheap. I've seen them go for around $200 with intake and all. The job can be done for under $500 if you do it yourself. That's the cheapest 70hp you can get on a GT. You just have to be patient and shop the forum classifieds, craigslist, and ebay. But like I said, if you don't want to take that route, gears is the next best thing, and I wouldn't go with anything less than a 4.10.

It took me a whole year to get the few mods that I have now. But I can most defientely tell you that it is a different car from a year ago. If I were you I would start off with exhuast, gears and a tuner.

underdrive pullies dont help much at all, almost a waste.ive done before and after dynos, 2whp was the most i got. exhaust, headers, intake plenum, tb, cai, all will help. lowering springs as mentioned earlier, ehhh. your choice on that one if you want to scrape your stang and rattle it.

Gears and suspension are the main things you need. Look into one of the sticky threads that show a budget 12 second N/A 2V write up. It says it's daily driveable but I think it's alittle boarderline. None the less it ran like 12.4's and with longtubes later installed, it ran 12.05 I think. This was in Texas elevation. Take that thing around here (CA) and it will probably be capable of doing 11's.

11 second N/A 2V new edge? sign me up

+1 on the tuner. I bought a sniper and have my car tuned for 91 oct. (CA) and I really felt the difference right off the bat. Plus I am planning on getting gears next so I need to recalibrate my speedometer anyway. I can also use this tuner for the life of the car. I think I gained like 10-20hp. Probably one of the biggest gains from a single thing for around $350-400.
