Default Starting Problem

OK so my 98 GT has been haveing a little trouble starting for a little while now. Sometimes when you go to start it, it seems as if you have to hold the key longer than I use to. Also sometimes it will act as if it going to cut off then just run fine. At other times it just starts up perfect. I AM LOST. So I have heard that fords do this, so does anyone know what the problem is and how to fix it? Thanks

Default RE: Starting Problem

I had a similar problem with my 96 GT. Every now and then it would kinda drag *** on starting, like the engine would turn over a few extra times before it fired up. And then a few times when it did do that, once it did fire up, it kinda sputtered for a second and then was fine. I don't know what it was, but i changed my fuel filter and haven't really had it happen again.
