when they say recalibration for use on other viechles what does that mean?
do i need to buy a chip to calibrate?

You will need to reflash your ECU or get a chip for the MAF and injectors.

I was thinking of running 8-9 psi w/ the 90mm MAF, a 255LP, and a 10:1 FMU. what do u think?

I was told by people who have Vortechs and they all say that the stock injectors work the best.

I have a Vortech on my 2000 GT and use the Lightning 90mm MAF and 42# injectors.
