Mid Pipe and Clearence Issues
When I first got my car I immediatly had put on a SLP catted X pipe and SLP LMII catback. The SLP came with high flow cats and I had the setup installed by a shop. But one thing I noticed right away was that the damn midpipe would scrap on everything. Then when I went to go pass smog (CA) I didnt pass. Luckily I kept my stock midpipe which was a very smart move. So I threw it back on and passed. Then I put the SLP X on but took the broken cats off and had pipes welded in place of them. It still scraped but not as much because there was no cats. Then I had lowering springs put in and now it scraps like a bitch everywhere!
So I was wondering if any of you guys had ideas for what I should do? It is really annoying having to worry about driveways and speed bumps. I had a guy told me that Bassanis midpipe doesnt hang too low but still...
Thanks,
Mike

My BBK o/r X hangs low in the center.. I've tried a bunch of different ways to tuck it up in, but still havent found a good way. My car is lowered as well. I just live with it, and go slow over big bumps and inclines/declines

if you lowered your ride and you put all those goodies on it is kind of the price you pay to be the bigshot. i got a h-pipe mac prochamber and borla stingers and i look out for all potential dips bumps and yes i hopped a railroad track at nite it sucked so bad. the only thing that scraps though is tha freekin clamps on the system.

Ok
Thanks for the replies guys!
As for the midpipe hanging low I thought about cutting the cats and welding pipes in place on a stock H pipe and sticking that on. I was thinking that the lack of cats would make up for the restriction of the H pattern instead of the X pattern and maybe also make up for the smaller diameter of the tubing. I just dont know if it would sound good...I have never heard or seen anybody with that setup.
The reason why I thought of this was beause the stock midpipe actually fits really well.
