Compression and F1A

Compression and F1A
So I just ordered a forged Manley bottom end, and based on the advice of Procharger and MMR, I went with a -18cc dished piston, which will give me 8.5:1 compression. The guys on M1R are saying that I went with way too low compression, and I should have went with flat tops with something like 9.5-10.
I'm going to be running an F1A 6 rib setup with a 3.9" pulley with a stock fuel system minus a BAP and #60 injectors. I'm assuming roughly #15 of boost. I would think that the lower CR would keep my power levels from exceeding my fuel systems capabilities. This car is my DD, so I can't completely turn it into a full on race car.
Thoughts?

no, I think your fine... you know its a preference / goals thing... I mean how much power do you want?.... how much power do you need? and how much power are wanting to make on a given setup? - For me I like pump gas, other dont mind running super blue or c-16... but imo if it doesnt do it full time - it doesnt do it. Anyway, case in point, with an F-1 more boost wont be a problem if you need/want it.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I'm gunning for around 550rwhp on a street tune. Those guys are just telling me that 8.5 is only for serious, extreme high HP applications. It's just irritating because I just ordered the bottom end today and all of a sudden I already bought the wrong CR.
Thanks for the quick response, btw.
