yeah i have a friend who is ricing out his stealth. i try not to be an *** about it, and i subtly encourage him to go in a different direction with it...but its pretty tough. in his mind, and probably that of your friend, the whole rice deal is "cool". it seems to be a fad that just wont go away. but hey, without ricers then we wouldnt have people to make fun of and embarass.
