Default Quick timing question

Are you more likely to ping in cold weather or does it not really matter?

you are more likely to get ping in hot weather than in cold.

Damn so i must really be adding a ton of timing. its about 50* in san antonio and im trying to nail my tune in.

its good untill about 4500 rpm I start to hear marbles

right now im running +2.0* low rpm +1.0* mid RPM and +.5 high RPM(this is all speaking only WOT)

and i have it +2.5* globally(part throttle, also adds +2.5 to the WOT values)

i keep having to retard the High RPM and its the same case every time..i think ima have to go -1.0* or something like that.. thats no good lol

Drop the global to 2.0 and leave the high rpm at what?

EDIT: if i drop the global, should i leave the low rpm range the same? the car really digs in and throws me back in the seat now with the 2.0 low rpm and 2.5 global.

how would u set it up ox, i really want to get the timing down good.

Leave the the three others alone. During part throttle and idle you want your timing retarded a bit since the engine speed is slower. Once you get the global set so you have no pinging start bumping the other three till you get pinging and back off whatever rpm range is pinging .5
