Default Best Turbo set-up?

I am looking at going for a turbo set-up on my 96 GT. I have a budget of $2,000. I know most people say go for a votech, I know I can get that for around $1,500.

I was wondering if anyone has flipped the stock manifolds to face the front of the car and mounted twin turbo in the front of the engine.

Is there a kit I can purchase for around this price?
Anybody on the forums that custom fabs stuff like this?

Or should I go for a single turbo and not have true dual exhaust?

Geez, thanks a lot. HAHA... I know there is no such thing as budget with a turbo system, but I know you can keep it on the cheap.

I am looking for 300-400hp so I dont have to go to forged internals

mine cost around 2300-2500 bux, but if you cant custom fabricate it yourself then theres no chance in hell. the stock manifolds will hit the accesories if you face them forward trust me i tried. your best be would to be get a cheap set of shorties from ebizzle and chop them.

single holset h1e, you can buy tubing off of ebay i suggest mild steel for the hot side then paint and wrap it properly when your done, and if your not comfortable welding aluminum, stainless steel for the hot side.

on the cold side the stainless wont get real hot, but for the hot side you will definitly want to use mild steel. i will try and find some pictures.
