f150 5.4 in my 97 mustang help

5.4 in car and running
ok here is a photo of the motor in the car as it sits right now, It is running and I changed the plug wires and that helped alot but it seems to be not as powerful as the 4.6, It does seem to run better today, maybe because the temp outside is 18 degrees. I have ordered the MMR intake adapters and hopefully will be here this weekend so I can run stock setup and hopefully get all my sensers hooked up.both temp, and still got to figure out oil senser(where it is).
not sure what the sensers are in vally of 5.4 they are not hooked up, I think one is the knock senser(what ever that is).
anyway here is photo....poor boys have poor ways...maybe one day I can make it better looking but right now I just want it to run right.

I remember the sensor you're talking about but for the life of me I can't remember what it was for. For some reason I do think it was a coolant or knock sensor but I can't remember.
Sorry not much help but if it makes you feel better I have a headache now from thinking about it.

is the knock senser on the 4.6 in the same location as the 5.4 and is the plugs the same?
the other senser is the CHT(cylinder head temp)I was told.
Do I need to hook up the CHT now that I will be running both my origanal temp sensers on mustang intake or is there also a CHT on the 4.6?

But the problem is if you're starting with a 96-98 car you npi intake had to places for the sensor/sender on the newer pi intake there is only I. This is the same problem that you deal with when doing a PI swap. So basically even the new mustang manifold won't have a place for the second one.

mine is still the NON-PI INTAKE from original motor. I ordered the adapters only from MMR so I still have both sensers on intake, All I will have to do is figure out what the knock senser connects to and oil press. senser also.

ok got MMR intake adapter on an car runs WAY WORSE than before, will NOT idle at all, rpms surge, if you hold throttle at low rpm it throttles up buy itself and then back down,if you dont hold throttle after it surges up it just dies....getting sick of this car....
not positive all vaccuums are connected correctly..
