Default Induction help

Hi, ya'll.

Am new to the forum, so please forgive me if my question seems basic, but I need some guidance on purchasing a TB and upper intake.

I have a 2002 GT with about 58,000 miles. Am focusing on getting air in and air out as quickly as possible. My only mods are K&N FIPK, 3.73 gears, Dr. Gas X-pipe w/o cats, Flowmaster mufflers and Steeda Tri-Ax.

Am wondering if a TB and UI are worth the $400 - $500. If so, what size TB and what do you get in return? I mean, is it real world results or dyno results? I'd like to feel something when I step on the gas for my investment.

Again, sorry if my questions are basic, but I trust other Mustang owners and appreciate any advice given. Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Well you're almost as far as you can get with exhaust unless you want to put longtube headers on. I do not have a throttle body or upper intake but I hear it's about good for 15 hp. I heard this mod is much more noticeable if you have some kind of forced induction.

Welcome to the forum. TB & Plenum are nice upgrades, but if you truly want to get air in and out look at getting your heads ported and polished. Although it does look cool when you pop your hood and see a nice shiney tb & plenum. Mac, BBk, Accufab just to name some of the TB's out there. I would say PP, but i just don't like how difficult it is to get the throttle cable into there TB. Plenums from Mac, C&L, BBK or even Accufabe (Pricey) are good. Good luck and welcome again.

Default Thanks

I appreciate everyone's responses. I am starting to look for some stuff online and hopefully can find some good deals with Christmas right around the corner.

Thanks,

Thomas

I dunno what you budget is, but when we're talking about moving air, we can't forget a good set of cams. Comp or Crower make nice sets of cams.
