I have cleaned it 3-4 times over the last 12 months. Recently within 3 Months. My car will not stay running. I have to continue to give gas and not let it stop for at least 5 miles. It only does this after sitting for more then 24 hours. Does anyone know another solution other then cleaning the IAC? Where is the carbon build up coming from?

Sometimes you have to replace it, carbon build up isn't the only thing that can be wrong with it, if the electronic side of it is malfunctioning then your just chasing your tail.

never thought of that.... already bought one.... works now we'll have to see when weekend comes and I do not drive for 2 days.
