Peeling steering wheel
Anyone else have this problem? Only 60k miles and the coating on the leather wrapped steering wheel is coming. Talking about quality...and it is annoying mind you.
I guess a cheap steering wheel covers. I hate those things..

RE: Peeling steering wheel
mine has a "dead spot" on the top of the wheel from the previous owner. I guess he drove gangster style or something... And one on the left hand side of the wheel from where I rest my elbow on the door panel and hold the wheel with my left hand 98% of the time. My leather is tan or saddle, and those spots are dark dark brown.... I hate the way it looks my car look cheap and old. Everything else in my car looks mint except the drivers seat. Only thing you can do is get a nasty wheel cover like you said, or replace the wheel itself.... go to www.50resto.com they have them there if you are interested....

it's not because it's cheap it's because you've got 60,000 miles worth of body oil, sweat, and dirt from your hands there and that isn't good for leather......nothing you can do.....grin and bear it or buy a new wheel they are really cheap and if you have the right tools extremely easy to change yourself........take you 45 minutes tops.
