Question Sub Frames carpet removal...

Ready to install the subframe connectors but having a rough time with it. Mostly everybody that I'vd talk too has informed me that I will need to remove my carpet. If not it will catch on fire. Is this so? Thanks guys...

You'll be fine just take it easy when welding.

I usually get the carpet damp before i weld subframe connectors in. Not like standing water, but a lil damp. Unless you go crazy with the welder you'd be alright dry, im just a little particular about safety stuff. By the time you finish welding, the carpet will be dry.

who the hell told you that you had to remove the carpet in your car to put subframes in? if anything just buy the sub's that are bolt on, i have them from BBK and no problems at all for over a year, it does the same thing as welding them in and you can do it yourself to save money.
