Default Nitto NT555R

For my 17x8 wheel should I go with 275/40 or 245/45?

I've heard nittos run small so I'm thinking 275 will fit fine?

275s will be fine, but those tires suck

So I'd get regular streets and buy a dedicated drag tire.

Currently on 245 HTR+ with no tread.

2.3 60' and 9.1 1/8th lol

I'm trying to decide if I want to put money into drag wheel/275 nitto and full suspension to run 12s n/a or just stick a bottle on with some 275 nittos and do it easy.

nittos cant be that bad. hell I have just reg nitto 555s and ill never own another tire. they hook way better than my bfg kdws did. id imagine their drag radial is plenty to get a 1.8 out of a bolt on car. I have heard all they need is a healthy burn out to stick like glue

+1 H0SS302 most of the time you have to do one hell of a burn out to get them to hook good.

My dad has a set of 315-40-17 555R's on the back of his termi 469whp and it ripped off 1.72-1.73 60' It doesn't spin hardly on the street with them either.

Nitto DR 275's or the 555 street tires will work fine with a 8" wheel!

Theyre good tires...
...but remember the autocross and drag radial come with 5/32s tread and they dont last long...
...but then they arent suppose to last long...
They are suppose to be the stickiest DOT on the road and they are...

...oh and they are measured like all tires are measured....the size is determined the same for all tires and is mathematical...no changey

btw I keep a set for those spirited runs when I want to stay on the pavement...

Note...they arent worth a flip on wet roads...DOT or no DOT...
