I go 100+ all day everyday for 2 years now.. I have a very heavy foot no matter what mood I'm in and when i'm drunk its worse.. I have tacked out on my speedometter at 150 and heard my engine still climbing.. My bitch is still running like a champ.. Needs work all the time but runs damn good.

I was told it is very good for the engine and trans. they say it blows out some carbon from the engine.

But really, you didn't hurt anything unless you went on into redline, but the o/d will bounce off rev limiter, which you were near if you were at 117 on 3.27's.

Uh, he was no where NEAR the limiter @ 117 on a 3.27, i have a 3.27 and have had it up to 138 in 4th. Plus hes auto so i think its a 3.73 gear (correct me if i am wrong) so his top speed would be lower but not 117

Auto has 4 gears not 5

3.27's are stock on all 99+'s except for Cobras and Machs which have 3.55's.

3.73's haven't been offered stock since the days of the SVO.

And 117 on an auto is near top 3rd, which means next is 4th which is o/d. You do not want to be wot into o/d it will ruin the tranny. I believe 3-4 is in the 120's stock, I really don't remember real well. Also stock 3-4 shift is at 5300 to save some load off the engine.

I know 3-4 with my 4.10's in is in the 105 range or so now, I left the stock 5300 3-4 gear change in it though.

Also, the top speed won't really be effected by gears either. I set at about 4k in o/d cruising at about 130 with the 4.10's so 150 is still there.
