Tremec install problem
So I bought a tr-3650 swap kit, and went through all sorts of headaches and went to bolt the crossmember up and it would not line up by 1 inch!!!! I measured the transmissions and the TR3650 is 1 inch longer than the aode, and the driveshafts are the same length. and the yoke on the tremec is longer than the one from the aode. What on earth should I do?
Should I call MD and have them contact the place and get a cobra crossmember if that has an inch set back in it?
I am at a total loss.

yeah, it came with 2 crossmembers, 1 was for a stock 96-98 gt manual, the other was for a 99-04. It came with a 5 speed driveshaft out of a 2002 gt. I measured the driveshafts and they were the same length, did not measure the yokes, but the 5 speed yoke is longer than the auto.

The mount for a 96-98 is different than a 99+. You may need a T-45 mount from a 96-98 car. Maybe they sent you the later model mount. How are you going to get the speedo to work? Your car has a mechanical speedo and the 3650 has electronic. Your car is a 96 right?

yeah car is a 96. I bought a speedcal from dallas mustang.(took 4 ever to get it), I was told that would fix the speedo issue. They sent me a 5 speed crossmember from a 98 mustang, and it had a 2002 mount on it, I switched the to and i was off by an inch.
So I cut the crossmember and moved the mount towards the rear 1 inch, and welded it, then gusseted it, and i went to put it in today and i had to modify the crossmember again to clearance it again for the back of the transmission.
I also had to cut the transmission tunnel also to alow the shifter to come up through the floor board. So basically I took 2 steps forward and 4 steps back.
I was wondering if a cobra t-45 crossmember is different from a gt t-45 crossmember
