Default Rebuild differential or buy a new one?

My mustang only burns out 1 wheel sometimes so my differential is broken i suppose.

The carbon disc clutch pack i would use to rebuild it costs 104.

I think labor will cost 300-400$ - So in total it will be 400-500ish to rebuild including labor.. is it worth it or should i just get a new differential that is better overall?

It's going to be same labor either way you go. It will be cheaper to rebuild your Trac-Loc

Price is a concern for me so I think ill be getting it rebuilt with that cobra clutch pack kit I linked. I just want to reliably put power to both tires equally and im hopeing this kit will do that for me... it says it is designed for higher torque usage - i hope it functions fine on my stock gt.
I dont think ill have any problems any time soon with the 28 splines.. im stock..do they only really mess up using slicks and launching rediculously hard?

Whoever rebuilds your diff, have them add an extra disc, it will make it grab a bit harder

a 31 spline cobra differential with carbon fiber discs is 299

http://www.jegs.com/i/Ford+Racing/39...318C/10002/-1#

axles are another 250ish..

what type of power does it take to break the stock axles? i hardly go to the track and never launch on slicks and probably never will
