Default Service engine soon

Ok, so my mass air flow sensor came unconnected and i drove it for about 5 or 6 miles without it on. the i connected it and it still says service engine soon. so i bought a cai and put it on today, with everything connected and such, and it still says service engine soon.. any suggestions?

strait pipes as in no cats or no mufflers?????

if its no cats you will need MIL's -they plug inline with the o2 sensors and trick the computer. if not just disconnect the battery for 10-15 mins or go to autozone and have them read the code and ask them to clear it.

just no mufflers, and yep. i tried the battery thing and the gauges reset and all but it didnt go off

go to autozone or advanced auto and have them read the code and they will delete it also. if they dont, ask them to.

My autozones won't clear the codes for me, they say they are not allowed to. They will however give me the box and let me figure it out with "their guidance". :lol:

yeah ive had them do that once to me, but every other time they've cleared the code themselfs

Probably depends on who you go to, the guy that always does it for me seems like a goober and won't do it.
