Default Help car wont start

As stated my car wont start. It will not turn over or anything. I couldnt find any blown fuses. It does not click, I turn the key and the dash lights go out and nothing. Auxillary works, the on position works the wipers headlights radio etc.

I took out my auto put in a stick, I used the auto transmission wiring harness with the tr3650. I have a 98 GT computer for the standard transmission.

Any suggestion as to what the problem could be?????

You have to find the 2 wires that go to the shift position switch on the auto harness that lets the computer know it's in park. Then you can either hook it the switch that goes to the clutch pedal on a manual, or just splice them together. It will allow the starter to engage. On a autu it eithe has to be in park or neutral to start on a manual the clutch has to be engaged to start. It's a safety feature. Your car no longers knows it's safe to engae the starter..

You can use an auto harness with an manual trans, just not the other way around, unless you go to a manual valve body. Because you need the computer to control shifts on an auto but not the manual. It's done all the time. I getting ready to go auto myself soon.

I would have the auto function turned off in the tune though.

You can just ground the wires and you will never have to push in the clutch to start the car. I had my old truck like that, it was actually kinda nice.

thanks, I slipped the auto into park and and pulled the position sensor off and connected it back to the wiring harness, and it still wouldnt crank.

The battery is charged, i used the original starter because it worked when I took it off, I disconnected the cable that went from the shifter to steering column. I disconnected the loop thing and plugged that into the clutch pedal, and then plugged a gray connector into the switch on the bottom of the clutch cable, and there was a black colored connector that would not plug into anything.

Well once you figure out why it wont crank you will then have to deal with Pats. Since you put in a different computer but not a matching dash and key its not gonna start.

for some reason I do not think pats is going to be an issue because there is no theft light.
