Default Dyno or no?

when it comes to tuning a car, is there any difference between tuning your own car with a wideband o2 sensor and having it dyno tuned? What advantages does someone at a dyno have over lets say a person with a sniper tuner and a wideband sensor?

Well I am a try believer of the street tune as long as the tuner uses the same software as a dyno. Don't get me wrong, I used to be "only tune on a dyno" until I had an actual street tune done. The both have their pro's and con's but on the street is "real world" scenario!!

well i'm just thinking for the future when i finally get some real mods, if i invested in a wideband and one of the sniper tuners, there really would be no need to go to the dyno? Given i have all the proper knowledge at the time, the tuner at a dyno would have no advantage over me tuning it myself correct?

Dyno tune isn't worth the cost until your slam full on bolt ons, or F/I. Tuned my GT last week with the SCT SF3 and it drives worlds different, much better.

I agree with most of you. The only disadvantage to not having a dyno is to see what you're making like dimebag said.
