Default Shift Kit

This kit will work right?

http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

I have a 2000 gt

it says 96-99, but i don't think there is a difference between 99-2000

any input on if this will work or which one I need?

thanks

so I called B&M and they said a 2000+ has to be tuned with a computer tuner

right now its tuned and shifts decently hard but I could always use more.

I just don't understand why it wouldn't work

again, thanks for any input

I'd trust B&M, but if the kit fits and they say your 2000 needs programmed. If your gonna put it in I'd make sure you get the car tuned afterwards. Or call them maybe your programmer will work. Are the 2000's electronically controlled. I know some of the programmers let you adjust shift firmness with the programmers. If so this might not be something to mess with. The computer might throw all kinds of codes if you put that in..... Let me know how it goes if you do though.

that sounds like some bull....all the 4R70w's are the same. if anything, the change would be 01, not 00.
