Default Vortech Aftercoolers

Vortech claims that their systems dont need any aftercooler/intercooler unless desired max maperformance or high output. Also if you want to run over 8-9 psi an aftercooler is recommended. Is this true???

Don't know a whole lot about the vortech system, but i would say that if vortech say to use it after 9 PSI, i would use it. Honestly, i wouldnt go over 8 psi without one. You will be way better off running a intercooler rather than not doing so. Your engine will love you more if you do.

No this is not true. Its a good general rule but its not fact.

There are many people running YSI's over 25PSI with out an intercooler or aftercooler.

without meth injection?

I hear a lot of people saying about 12 psi is a good limit before needing to intercool a vortech.
