tonight I pulled up next to a 2004 gto. The two guys in it rolled down the window and asked if i wanted to do a quick run. they said the car was stock (also had heavy looking chrome rims on it) so i figured what the heck. I had about a fender lead on them pretty much the whole time, maybe a little more, until i missed 3rd
I know the 6.0L GTOs are much quicker but i figured even the 5.7L would be faster then I was

That sounds right.
The LS1 GTO runs around a 13.8, with a Mustang GT running a 13.9-14.2, add into account the guys oversized rims and your pipe. It adds up.

 

plus the extra guy in the GTO 200 more pounds. that is if you were driving solo. that can make the diffrence in a .1 of a sec.

 

i had my girlfriend in the car but she weights like 100 pounds lol

 

yeah that sounds right, those gtos are decent stock but can be pretty BA when modded
