Default Quieting exhaust?

My fiance's mother has to have brain surgery in February, and because our Focus is having issues, I am considering driving my Mustang from Indiana to Georgia. Problem is around 70-85 mph, it is really loud. I think the mufflers are flowmasters, and everything else is stock. Is there an easy way to quiet this? Even temoprarily would be fine. I just cannot stand the noise, and I am sure she will not enjoy it either. Thanks in advance!

Turn the radio up, personally I love the sound, I would be cruising with the windows down or crack depending on weather and leave the radio off, but thats just me. I love the smell of high octane burning, tire smoke, oil, and gasoline. Someone should make that a colonge. I would wear it.

I haven't turned my radio on in 3 years... I probably should just take it out but I keep thinking maybe I listen to it some day.

You never know... someone might make a cologne like that. After all, Burger King has a cologne. The description is: Behold the scent of seduction, with a hint of flame-broiled meat. Not sure what to say to that LOL

Back to the post, QUIETING A MUSTANG!?!? ARE YOU CRAZY?!?! haha, I understand. You say it's quite loud at 70-85mph.. Try doing 65, you'd be surprised how much quieter it is and you'll see a nice bump in MPG as well.
