Nittos are priced descent, and they wear well for a drag radial, that's the reason I'll be buying them over MTs. Front springs will help your weight transfer and in turn help solve some of your traction issues.

I dont understand why traction for you is so bad, your cheapest solution would be dont beat on your car, I am making similar power and on the street traction could be a problem if I hammered it everywhere I went, but you have to learn to drive differently when making big power. I think driving style would be cheaper, then running a drag radial all the time. Describe what your doing that makes traction such a problem for you.

well when i am racing against a 88 toyota supra i just sit there and spin 1st-2nd gear, and he is already gone by the time i get traction. i think kb's are different than a procharger, i have lots of power down low and it is very hard to keep the car from spinning no matter how fast i take off.

ET street or ET street radials?
For a second set only used on the track

+ to KB being a completely differant animal on the road than a centri blower.

Your gonna need Et streets or something to hold any traction

Its a lot harder to keep traction when your blower is making instant boost and 400+ ft lb at like 2k compared to a centri blower than starts building boost at like 2800 rpms and gradually makes power.

I know the differences, what I didnt know was what type of driving on the street you were doing that you would want to run a drag radial. Given the above comment I am assuming street racing. Why didnt you say that to begin with...

with any kind of power its pretty much a must to do some suspension and better tires if you plan on getting traction....

My car will blow the tires off under like 50 mph.

get m/t street drag radials... these ones

http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/s...ETStreetRadial

uppers/lowers, i run summit brand ones, and cut 1.6 60fts with the wheels a few inches up... strange struts up front, and lakewood 50-50s in the back will do you good, the stranges are nice because you can adjust them, if not them, get lakewood 90/10s or 70/30s

i DD 275/40/17 mt/s like i linked you to above, and i dead hook on the bottle, yes a little less power then you, but the tq is in the same ball park, and lets think... thats whats making you spin right?

**** the nitto's, ive never seen anything good from them, and the guys that thought they were doing good once they switched to mt's, realized they werent.

and why wouldnt you want to do front springs? eibach drag kit, or just foxbody 4cyl front springs will help alot...i run the fox springs

He doesnt drag race...I think the tire is great, but put it on a second set of 15's and beef up your rear, daily drive on your current tires, and when you go out for the night to race, swap the ****ty tires for the DR's.
