Why do you have to disconnect the battery? You have failed to back that peice of advice up with any reasonable explanation.

Disconnecting the battery makes the computer go back to the factory setting and relearn the inputs from all the sensors. It will allow the computer to make adjustments to its program to accomade the new TB and CAI.

Ok... I can tell you that that isnt going to work.
I know it will dump memory but the computer will still take a long time to learn the difference. I did the TB & Plenum change a few times and sometimes you still get codes for about two months after the change. It all depends on the car.

As far as the instalation goes is really easy. Jus take one thing off and put the other one back up. As you start doing it you'll see is not as hard as it seems. The CAI instalation is not hard either. The hardest part is to put the filter in the fender if that's the kinfd of CAI you went with.
WARNNING!!!!!! Don't touch any of the screws on the combo that you r receiving. as they are already preset for your aplication. That's the best advice I can give on this matter. Other tan that, YOU'LL BE FINE.
Also be careful removing the TPS off your old TB. Sometimes they brake.
Good luck let us know how it comes out.

TPS= throtle positioning sensor, I guess he ment to tell you to use the stock bolts from your car BC accufab sends bolts with the TB and the Plenum. I used some stock and some from accufab.
everybody says Accufab Throttle body and C&L Plenum.. What about this kit from brenspeed..

C&L Throttle body and Plenum. is the accufab TB that much better than the C&L?

C&L doesn't make a throttle body. The throttle body is a MAC, MAC is like the walmart brand for mustangs. OK stuff not great.
For that price you can pick up an Accufab and C&L at HERE

Installed the same setup on my buddy's 2001GT took about an hour. I did disconnect the battery, but got a check engine light after about 30 minutes of idle. Turns out the program wouldn't take the new setup with the factory TPS. Quick fix, bought a new TPS and got rid of the check engine light. I'm sure most installations don't do this, but you always have to think about the ghosts in the machines.
I did and not really.
Prochambers are known to break welds at the chamber, the throttle bodies had several issues including rubbing on interior bore and poor idle abilites, the rear support cover girdle jack bolts back out and cause the loss of diff fluid, need I continue?
ANd the Prochamber isn't an H pipe or and X pipe, it's a combination of both.
