Yeah, I put my TB and plenum on in about an hour. I took my time to. I didnt disconnect my battery. Atleast i dont remember doing it. I just let it idle for about 5 minutes first. You wont need to do anything else. Just make sure your throttle cable is hooked up good. Sometimes people have trouble w/ them. Took me about 5 minutes to figure out exactly how to hook it up tight. Make sure its not loose.

It took me 30-40 min. yes, you have to disconnect the battery. You may need some allen wrenches. There's detailed instructions, don't rush. It pretty basic common sence, don't drop any thing into the intake. You will have to take the tube on your CAI that connect's to your throttle body and remove it until your installation is done. Then rehook the CAI to the TB first/then the MAF. Much easier for me to connect it that way. Your throttle linkage may seem alittle loose compared to your stocker, but I have had no issues. Pump the peddle a couple of times and it should be fine.

Why do you have to disconnect the battery? You have failed to back that peice of advice up with any reasonable explanation.

What will he need any allen wrenches for?

Actually there are five bolts for the plenum itself, four for the TB, two screws for the IAC, two for the TPS and two bolts for the EGR. Then there is three hoses to disconnect, two cannon plugs, the cruise control cable, gas cable and spring along with the mount to disconnect and you are finished. Its a really simple job to do.

It dosen't seem simple by looking at SilverGTV8 install guide.[sm=bangbang.gif] Maybe it's easier to do in real life instead of reading step-by-step.

It's a breeze. The hardest part is setting the TPS if you choose to.
