Default had my stang. 5 days and first big problem already!!!

i was driving my stang to target on sunday. and i heard a hissing sound coming from the front right fender i thought it was a tire going down. here i opened the hood and the lower pully cut into the AC line. causing all my fluid to drain. i went to a few places for an estimate. $375-$400 . the hose is $170!!!!! plus labor and the cost of refilling the AC fluid. is their a cheaper way of doing this. ofcourse the warr. does not cover hoses. i guess because its all presure fitted . i dont know but it ticks me off. i only had it 5 days. thanks people.

English please, but if its still under warrenty at least try to take it back, but the cheaper way out of everything is to do it your self, price the hoses out at autozone or online and get them and put it on, then take it somewhere and have them fill the ac system (about $40-$60)

i would bring it back. the warranty should cover it. the hoses that arent covered are usually the coolant ones. the a/c hos should be covered.

thanks guys, my budy works for a body shop and ordered me the hose for half the price the AC place and ford wanted. my local garage is gonna put it on and fill it for $100. im disabled and cant do the work myself. so instead of costing $400 it will cost about $160. thanks for the info. i guess its an expensive hose because theirs a switch and a muffler on the hose and they come all together like that. one piece

I would get the hose from him for half price, go to Auto zone and buy like three cans of R132A and refill it myself. That would cost you all of maybe $80.00

Whoever sold this car to you should stand behind it.Have you been under the hood changing pulleys? If it came to you like this the lot that sold the car should repair it.BTW so should an individual but most privately sold cars carry no warranty.
