Rear brakes are way hotter than front brakes??
#3
If you had been doing some VERY hard stopping before reading the temps it's possible--the rear rotors are quite a bit smaller than the front (I don't remember the exact sizes off the top of my head) and non-vented. Therefore they cannot dissipate heat as fast as the front rotors.
How did you measure the temperature?

ok here is what is happening. a months back i did rear brakes. for a few days they were perfectly fine. then when gettin out of the car i noticed the passenger side rear brake was very hot. the rim was almost to hot to touch. then it happends every so often. sometimes it will get really hot and sometimes it wont the other day i was driving a far distance when i stoped at a light my rear brake passanger again was smoking it was so hot. but then other times it won't get that hot. when i roll to a stop right before i stop i can feel the brakes grab. and if i'm on a very slight incline where i should be rolling back i won't i'll stay put. the ebrake isn't on. i took everything apart and nothing seems to be wrong. and when i checked it now both the right and left rear brakes are the same tempature. i don't know what is going wrong here.

yes i rotated both pistons all the way in and also the guide pins move smoothly. this is why i'm puzzled. the calipers rn't seized up in any way they rotate in smoothly so i don't see what the problem is.
