Default Looking at buying a 2003 GT. Good deal?

Hi, new to the site and new to Mustangs as well. I was just hoping you guys/gals could help me make a more informed decision on this.

I have came across a 2003 Mustang GT 5-speed with only 28,000 miles on it. From what I can tell it seems to be in immaculate condition.

The Kelly Blue book price is $8840. However, he says $10,000 is as low as he is willing to go.

So naturally my first question is this... Is 10K a good deal on this car, even know its about $1200 above blue book?

Second, is there anything I should look out for with this particular model year?

Thanks in advance for your help!

1. make sure the title is clean!!!!!!!! above all else!!!!!!!!
2. does it have mods (not that u wanna pay him back for it just a question)
3. do u know the options the car has i.e. premium package (rims, sound system leather...etc)

to me it sounds good i mean for god sakes its 44,000 miles under the average lol

just my opinion

Here is the only mods done to it...

lowered using eibach springs with aftermarket caster/camber plates for easy alignment. clear headlights with true h.i.d. lighting, 19" torque thruston wheels.
I just checked the carfax. It looks clean no accidents. It has had three owners and was a lease vehicle at one point in Ohio.

Im not sure what options it has other than its a GT. I am assuming its just the standard non-leather package but I don't know for sure. I may see if I can take a look at it tomorrow.

Ok yeah those mods are nothing to worry about. Even if hes driven it hard, hes driven it hard stock. $10,000 isn't that bad of a deal and if you were looking for a new edge GT then the 03-04's are the better years but I would seriously consider getting a 4 valve Mustang instead. It'll simply be a better car. Also usually buying really modded cars isn't such a good deal especailly ones with power adders but I have seen some REALLY good ideals around these days like $10k for like an 03 supercharged GT with decent miles.

Not a bad deal for an '02 GT...I believe that they had some problems with the transmission shifting into 2nd & 3rd gears!

you can get 01 cobra's with 50,000 to 70,000 miles ( or more) for around 9-10 if you shop around. Mach 1's too

If I was going to sell my 03, its has around 60k on it, and I have over 12k in work done. I would want to get 12 for it.

The fact is, it is still a GT not a cobra, not a mach 1. I would say you will take it for $9k, if he needs to sell it...he will. If he doesn't take that offer, then I am sure you will stumble across an even better deal (it is exactly what happened to me).
