cold air or not

damn maybe i will just SC & rebuild my engine. i just want around 350hp to the wheels. thats enough for a street car right. im personally more about great handling that power so i dont need a whole lot. just enough to smash some kid on the freeway every once in a while, but not so much that i spin tires around a corner. everyone around here says mustangs will never corner. i'm gonna prove them wrong

How many miles do you have on the motor. I've got around 115,000 on the motor and 35,000 on the supercharger. Unless there is something wrong with your motor, you don't need to rebuild it for 350 rwhp (just over 400 hp at the flywheel). A supercharger running 8 lbs boost will get you there. I've heard good things about the Mongoose kit which costs $3,900 for a complete kit. I love my ProCharger, but it costs a little more because it comes with an intercooler.

One thing you must realize is that your engine MUST breathe well. Air in and Air out. CAI and bigger throttle body, then exhaust to get the air moving out faster. That's a good start. I noticed slightly better throttle response with the CAI and TB. When you're racing, it's the little things that make a difference.

I would say both are worth it. Every bit counts right? I noticed beter throttle response with the intake and then again with the tb/plenum. Go for it
