Did you forget to plug your MAF back in or perhaps didn't snug the band clamps?

it would have come on right away if it were that, right? It wasn't until i'd been driving it for a while that it came on, but i'll go check the clamps.

Have you run the codes for it? Could be a coincidence that something went wrong or something totally unrelated happened when you installed. Autozone will check them for free.

Not necessarily. When I put in my K&N Filter I forgot to plug the MAF back in...it took a good 20 minutes for the light to come on. If you don't have a code scanner to clear it once you figured out what is wrong and it was indeed a forgotten plug, the light will go out on it's own after about 30 minutes of driving. Or you could disconnect the (-) battery cable for a few minutes.

The TPS sensor maybe set incorrectly and the car is unsure of the throttle blade's position.

Go to AutoZone and have them pull the code for free and come back here with it. I bet its gonna be Auxillary air inputs. I had the same trouble with mine when I installed it and reguardless of how long I unplugged the battery, it never fixed itself. I had to just keep erasing the code. I replaced the gaskets and all. I had no vacume leaks or anything.

You need to set it to somewhere between .97v and .99v. You will need to back probe the sensor with a meter to set it. it can be a pain to do. I tried to back probe it when I did my install but ended up using amy predator to read the voltage[&:]
